A new placement head version, a more powerful image processing system, an open interface for special feeders and improvements with many new software functions set the new version of the SIPLACE SX placement platform apart. Smart Factory Exhibition learned that SIPLACE SpeedStar CP20 improves the placement performance to 43,250cph, with higher precision and a wider range of components. Two other head options, SIPLACE MultiStar and SIPLACE TwinStar, can handle larger and more complex components with placement forces up to 100N. The new camera system provides high-contrast images and allows for more component-specific lighting setups and multiple exposures so that 3D images can be calculated for improved process control. Other innovations include OSC kits for odd-shaped components and pin bending tools for THT processes. The multi-touch display and many intelligent support functions make the operation of the machine easier and more intuitive.
